Description
This passion project has been years in the making under the meticulous eye of design team A1000xBetter. There was no expense spared nor detail overlooked in the creation of this deceptively intricate love letter to form, function, and texture. Both the primary home and ADU employ soaring ceilings and white oak floors as the bright canvas for whimsical lighting and a curated collection of ceramic, matte porcelain, and 3d printed concrete tile. Smallest spaces often pack the largest punch, and the powder roomwith its wall of fluted terrazzois no exception. The open kitchen/dining room was designed as much for everyday use as it was for editorial spreads, with an astounding amount of storage and work space, a custom matte brass range hood perched above dual ovens, and custom semi-oval island whose facade alludes to the exterior of the home. Both downstairs bedrooms include built-in office (or vanity) nooks with side-mounted sconces, and even the laundry room is magnetic in its serenity. The primary suite spans the entire second floor, with a walk-in closet the size of a NYC apartment and a Bodelair concrete soaking tub. A brick patio, crushed palomino coral hardscaping, and drip-irrigation maintained plantings separate the two homes. Whereas other ADUs can read as an afterthought or value-grab, this secondary home is every bit as luxurious as its larger counterpart. A contemporary clerestory window lines the kitchen wall, shedding light on the open living area. Custom oak work camouflages the fridge, laundry, and extends into copious storage space and a built-in banquet. Equally luxe finishes and materials throughout make 4987 Vincent Ave a formidable rival to the primary home. This striking set of homes is just around the corner from Cindy's, The Fable, Casa Bianca, Found Coffee, Little Beast, and everywhere else you know and love in Eagle Rock.
